Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies offers recognized certificate and diploma programs designed to provide foundational knowledge, applied skills, and professional preparation across selected fields of study.
In accordance with the Private Training Regulation effective January 1, 2026, programs with a duration of less than one full year of full-time study are credentialed as certificates rather than diplomas.
All programs are structured to support academic progression, career development, and lifelong learning, and are delivered in alignment with established institutional policies and applicable regulatory

Our Health and Community Support Programs include the Global Counselling: Foundations, Theories & Practice Certificate and the Social Service Worker Diploma. The Global Counselling Certificate has been approved by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU). The Social Service Worker Diploma has been developed in accordance with provincial private training standards and is currently awaiting PTIRU approval.
Professional Development Programs (Micro Credential)
These programs do not require approval and are not subject to review by the Private Training Institution Regulatory Unit of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills. Students may not file a claim against the Student Tuition Protection Fund in relation to this program.
These Micro Credential Professional Development Programs (39 hours each) are designed to provide focused, industry-relevant learning through short, competency-based micro-credentials. These programs equip learners with practical skills, applied knowledge, and career-enhancing competencies, delivered in a flexible format to accommodate keen learners and working professionals. Each micro-credential is developed in alignment with current industry standards and emerging workforce needs, supporting lifelong learning, upskilling, and professional advancement.
