Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies (GNI) Board of Directors has established the following Policy and Procedures for student withdrawal from the courses. By following these guidelines, GNI ensures a clear and structured process for student withdrawals, maintaining the integrity and quality of its educational programs.

Policy

  1. Commitment to Quality Training: GNI is dedicated to providing quality education
    through the following programs:
  2. Withdrawal Request Submission: Students wishing to withdraw from any program or course must submit a “Withdrawal Request” form with supporting documents to the GNI office.
  3. Written Requests: All withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing.
  4. Email Submissions: GNI may accept withdrawal requests via email under exceptional circumstances.
  5. Refund Calculations: Refund requests will be processed in accordance with the GNI Tuition Fees & Refund Policy #S-006. The date of receipt of the written notice of withdrawal (form/email) will determine any refund due.

Procedure:

  1. Submission of Request: A letter or email should be sent to the Senior Educational Administrator (sea@gurunanakinstitute.ca), detailing the intention to withdraw, reasons for the decision, and including proof of original payment.
  2. Class Attendance: Students should not attend any classes scheduled after the withdrawal notice has been submitted.
  3. Meeting Arrangement: A meeting will be set up with the SEA or a designated representative (if applicable) to discuss the withdrawal decision.
  4. Attendance Post-Notice: If a student attends classes after submitting a withdrawal notice, it will be considered a cancellation of the withdrawal request, indicating the student’s intent to continue the program at GNI.
  5. Confirmation of Withdrawal: GNI will issue a written notice confirming the withdrawal and provide details about any refund due, in accordance with the Tuition Fees & Refund Policy #S-006.
  6. Cancellation of Withdrawal Request: Students may cancel their withdrawal request by submitting another written request expressing their intent to cancel the previous withdrawal request.
