Dear GNI Family,
On this International Women’s Day, we take a moment to honour and celebrate the incredible strength, wisdom, and dedication of the women who shape our Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies (GNI) community—our teachers, staff, students, and their families. Your resilience and commitment uplift not only this institution but also the generations you nurture and inspire.
Guru Nanak Sahib, in Asa Ki Var (SGGS p.473), reminds us of the immense honour and respect that women deserve—for they are the source of life, the nurturers of wisdom, and the foundation upon which humanity exists. Our Gurus upheld the equality of women, ensuring they had the same rights to education, leadership, and spiritual growth. From Mata Khivi’s selfless service to Bhag Kaur’s fearless leadership, Sikh history is rich with inspiring women who embody both compassion and strength.
As educators and mentors, we carry this legacy forward. Let today be a renewed commitment to fostering an environment at GNI where every individual—regardless of gender—feels valued, empowered, and supported in reaching their highest potential.
To the remarkable women of GNI—your dedication, compassion, and courage inspire us daily. We are deeply grateful for your contributions and pray that Waheguru blesses you with Chardi Kalaa (eternal high spirits), wisdom, and strength.
Happy Women’s Day!
Gian Singh and GNI Board of Directors
