Course Overview:
This program delves into the comprehensive study of ad hoc networks, encompassing everything from their conceptualization to the intricacies of their functioning and the specific needs of their applicants. The curriculum begins with exploring the defining traits and practical users of ad hoc networks. It then progresses to an in-depth analysis of security aspects, including both digital and analog methods of transmission and the scrutiny of the medium access control protocol. The course continues with an examination of various routing protocols, with particular attention given to addressing security challenges in mobile ad hoc networks and Vehicle Ad hoc Networks (VANETs). The course concludes with an evaluative assessment to gauge students’ understanding and comprehension of the subject.
Prerequisite:
- The students must have completed grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Basic understanding of Networking Concepts.
- Students from non-English speaking countries must pass the English Language Proficiency Test.
- English Language Proficiency Test scores (IELTS – 6.0, TOEFL – 70, PTE – 45, CAEL – 70, CAE – 176, Duolingo – 110, Password – 6.5, and PTE – 61) are acceptable.

- Evaluate and address challenges in designing routing and transport protocols for wireless Ad-hoc/sensor networks.
- Familiarity with various sensor network Platforms, tools and applications.
- Develop the। ability to assess the performance of ad hoc networks under different conditions and scenarios, including varying network size, mobility patterns, and traffic loads.
- Utilize quantitative methods to analyze metrics such as packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, and network throughput in ad-hoc networks.
