- Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies (GNI) is a distance (ONLINE) institute.
- Regular ONLINE attendance is expected of students in all their sessions (including lectures, tutorials, seminars, etc.).
- The minimum attendance requirement for a student is 90% of sessions and the first session of every course is mandatory.
- Students who neglect their course work and assignments may be excluded from final examinations.
- Students who are unavoidably absent because of illness or disability should report to their instructors on return to classes.
- Any request for a course concession must be clearly expressed.
- If students are concurrently taking courses at another educational institute, they are required to advice Senior Education Administrator sea@gurunanakinstitute.ca
- If students miss more than 10% of the program on non-consecutive days, they are required to discuss with their instructor the reasons for their absence and complete any missed assignments.
- Absence from attending a course for three consecutive sessions is a cause for dismissal.
- The GNI reserves the right to limit attendance and limit the registration in or cancel or revise any of the courses listed.
