Course Overview:

This course develops foundational literacy in Gurmukhi for students with prior exposure to spoken Punjabi. Students build skills in reading, writing, vocabulary, and sentence formation through structured practice and applied language use in everyday contexts.

Prerequisite:

  • Open to all who can speak Punjabi but cannot read and write Gurmukhi Script

Learning Outcomes:

  • Read and write Punjabi texts with developing accuracy.
  • Apply basic grammar in written communication.
  • Compose short paragraphs on familiar topics.
  • Interpret simple written passages.
  • Demonstrate coherence in structured writing tasks.
