Course Overview:

This introductory course develops foundational communicative skills in Punjabi, with emphasis on listening and speaking and a gradual introduction to reading and writing in Gurmukhi. Students acquire basic vocabulary and grammatical structures for simple interactions in everyday contexts.

  • Use basic Punjabi vocabulary in everyday communication.
  • Demonstrate simple listening and speaking skills.
  • Recognize and write basic Gurmukhi characters and words.
  • Construct simple sentences using basic grammatical structures.
