Course Overview:
The Capstone: Global Business Strategy Project is the culminating course of the two-year Global Management Diploma program, designed to synthesize and apply students’ cumulative learning to address complex, real-world business challenges. Through a structured consulting-style project, students work individually or in teams under faculty mentorship to research a company, market, or industry and develop a comprehensive, evidence-based strategic plan. This course emphasizes advanced strategic thinking, analytical reasoning, ethical decision-making, and professional communication. Students integrate cross-functional knowledge from marketing, operations, finance, economics, and leadership to evaluate internal organizational capabilities and external global opportunities. They apply tools such as SWOT, PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, VRIO, financial modeling, and market-entry frameworks to support strategic recommendations. Final deliverables include a professional-grade strategic report, a formal presentation to faculty and/or external stakeholders, and an individual reflection on leadership, collaboration, and applied learning.
