Dr. Gurjeet Singh is an academic, researcher, and author in Computer Science & Engineering. With over 17 years of experience in academia, he has progressed through various roles, from Lecturer to Professor, and is currently serving as Vice Principal cum Professor at Chief Khalsa Diwan Institute of Management & Technology, Amritsar. His teaching philosophy emphasizes fostering critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills in students, underpinned by his extensive knowledge of programming languages, networking, and multiple operating systems.
Dr. Singh’s research contributions are significant, authoring eight and co-authoring twelve textbooks. In addition, he has several publications across patents, book chapters, and international refereed journals to his credit. His research interests lie in network security, mobile ad-hoc networks, and the Internet of Things. He is an active member of several international professional organizations, including the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), the Universal Association of Computer and Electronics Engineers (UACEE), the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). He also serves on the editorial boards and as a reviewer for several internationally recognized journals.
Dr. Singh’s contributions to the field have been acknowledged through various accolades, including the Government of Punjab’s Appreciation Awards. Dr. Singh remains dedicated to advancing the field of Computer Science and engineering through his teaching and research endeavours.
