Course Overview:
This course introduces the students to the complete financial accounting process consisting of concepts, principles, and procedures that form the accounting cycle. This course covers financial accounting basics, recording business transactions, cash & accrual accounting, and financial statement analysis in decision-making. Throughout the course, students will be introduced to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and ethical issues related to financial statements prepared for external users.
Prerequisite:
- The students must have completed grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Students from non-English speaking countries must pass the English Language Proficiency Test.
- English Language Proficiency – Acceptable test scores (IELTS – 6.0, TOEF – 70, PTE – 45, CAEL – 70, CAE – 176, Duolingo – 110, Password – 6.5, and PTE – 61) are acceptable.
